annotating individual e-mails

Today I annotated a mail in gmail on chrome by accident. How great is that :) But unfortunately all the annotations from different mails get collected in one folder with the title "gmail". Is it technically possible to collect them under the single mails with the mail header, recipient and date on the title. Some will not be able to backlink if deleted, but that would be ok. This would lift research onto a whole new level, because one could now also collect the input from others via mail.
