Copy with template only works first time

My workflow is to write notes in Memex and then use the copy function to copy notes to Obsidian.

It seems it only works for the first time whenever I try it. The template afterwards shows "undefined" and I have to wait a week for it to go back to normal. Maybe I need to logout/login? I haven't found a way yet to make it work after it breaks other than waiting a week. Which sorta kinda makes it unusable.

I have tried all the default copy templates (from Obsidian over Roam to simple citation standards) - all shows "undefined" and copies "" (empty).

I'm using Arc as browser and the normal browser extension for this.
