highlighting on reddit is kinda broken

It's possible to highlight by right-clicking a selection, and using the 'Highlight with Memex' option, but click the highlight button in the hovering selection widget doesn't work. Also, sometimes experience weird issues with reddit, where a section of highlighted text will disappear, no highlight was made, and the text is no longer selectable (because it's invisible)
