Need Ability to access dashboard using sidebar and connect notes

Adding notes to space is a good feature. It makes memex as a note collection tool. But I would like memex to be a note-taking and linking tool. For that, I have a suggestion. If we are allowed to access the dashboard and all our notes via sidebar, we could link current notes/pages with our other notes via adding a notes link. Any other way of connecting notes would also be fine.
