new dashboard is great but some missing features (UI/UX)

Feature Requests

thanks for the new dashboard, great addition !

  • it would be nice to have a button on the sidebar to open the dashboard

  • from the dashboard, it would be nice to have a button to open settings

I guess the feature request is to have more feature parity and similar ux between sidebar and dashboard ?

    • The settings you reach via the ? icon in the bottom right corner of the dashboard.

    • Heard you on the opening of the dashboard via the sidebar, will implement a way to do that.

      • As a note, the dashboard is actually a version of the sidebar. So they are feature equal and are the same components

    • When you say “feature parity” what other things you feel like it does not do the same? You want more UX form the dashboard in the sidebar or vice versa?

      • Btw if you drag open the sidebar more in the in-page-UI you basically get the dashboard. (minus some smaller differences I could also change which is that the ai chat will still be its own tab vs side by side with the search like in the dashboard.

      I guess I expected to be able to save new bookmarks and items from the dashboard : in other apps like raindrop, diigo, hoarder/karakeep, faved… you can usually add items from the dashboard with a +add button that will ask for a url. not a big deal

        Ah yeah that will come for sure!

        I noted in the video for now you need the extension for it but its an obvious thing to add quite soon, agreed!

        This is in the app now, simply add a url (or many) in the search bar and press enter!
